INAN 10-1324 <br />WHEREAS, Section 163.3161 et seq., Florida Statutes, established the Local <br />Government Comprehensive Planning and Land Development Regulation Act; and <br />WHEREAS, Section 163.3184, Florida Statutes, establishes a process for adoption of <br />comprehensive plans or plan amendments; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Casselberry supports the findings and conclusions of the "How <br />Shall We Grow" study conducted by MyRegion.org; and <br />WHEREAS, State Road 436 is one of the most significant commercial corridors in <br />Seminole County; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Commission supports the goals of higher densities and the use of <br />mixed use development to promote compact and sustainable growth along our corridors; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Commission adopted the Major Thoroughfare Mixed Use future <br />land use category to promote and implement these goals along the City's major collectors of US <br />Highway 17-92 and State Road 436; and <br />
