WHEREAS, the City of Casselberry City Commission held a public hearing on the Future <br />Land Use, Traffic Circulation, Housing, and Conservation Elements and the Future Land Use <br />Map amendments after due public notice on January 22, 2010, and considered the advice and <br />findings of the Local Planning Agency, and upon thorough and complete consideration and <br />deliberation, approved the proposed Future Land Use element and map amendments for <br />transmittal to the Department of Community Affairs; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Casselberry transmitted the proposed amendments on March 31, <br />2010 to the Department of Community Affairs pursuant to Section 163.3184 and Rule 9J-11, <br />Florida Administrative Code; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Casselberry received from the Florida Department of Community <br />Affairs an "Objections, Recommendations, and Comments Report" on June 1, 2010, reflecting the <br />Department's review of the proposed amendments; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Casselberry City Commission held a second public hearing after <br />due public notice on 2010 at which it reviewed the written comments <br />submitted by the Department of Community Affairs in the Objections, Recommendations, and <br />Comments Report; reviewed all other written and oral comments submitted by members of the <br />public, other local governments and reviewing agencies; and reviewed the recommendations of <br />the City of Casselberry Planning and Zoning Commission; and <br />WHEREAS, the Comprehensive Plan amendments adopted by this Ordinance comply <br />with the requirements of the Local Government Comprehensive Planning and Land Development <br />Regulation Act and the amendments are in the best interest of the public health, safety, and <br />welfare of the citizens of the Casselberry, Florida, and serves a legitimate government interest. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ENACT® BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE <br />CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORI®A, AS FOLLOWS: <br />Ordinance 10-1319 <br />HB 697 Text and Map Amendments <br />Page 2 of 5 <br />
