RESOLUTION 10-2139 <br />"A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF <br />CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE <br />EXECUTION OF A SCOPE OF SERVICES AGREEMENT BETWEEN HDR, INC. <br />AND THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY FOR CONSTRUCTION ENGINEERING <br />INSPECTION SERVICES FOR THE U.S. 17-92 RIGHT-OF-WAY <br />IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT; PROVH)ING FOR CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY, <br />AND EFFECTIVE DATE." <br />WHEREAS, the U.S. 17-92 Right-of--Way Improvements Project is an <br />engineered/designed enhancement beautification project that has been approved by the Florida <br />Department of Transportation (FDOT) under the Local Agency Program (LAP) to include <br />reimbursement to the City up to $1.4 million for construction; and <br />WHEREAS, this project will include sidewalk and pedestrian improvements which meet <br />current ADA standards, provide textured pavement surfaces, and provide landscaping and irrigation <br />enhancements through-out the U.S. 17-92 corridor within the City limits, from SR 436 to Seminola <br />Boulevard; and <br />WHEREAS, FDOT has required that professional construction engineering inspection <br />(CEI) services are necessary to ensure the U.S. 17-92 Right-of--Way Improvements Project is <br />constructed efficiently and effectively to the City's and FDOT's satisfaction; and <br />WHEREAS, via Resolution 02-1352, HDR, Inc. was awarded a continuing services <br />contract with the City; and <br />WHEREAS, HDR, Inc. has provided a proposed Scope of Services Agreement for CEI <br />services not to exceed $96,253.40 without prior written authorization; and <br />WHEREAS, City staff have reviewed the proposed Scope of Services Agreement from <br />HDR, Inc., and found it to be adequate to meet the project requirements of the City. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE <br />CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: <br />SECTION L The City Commission of the City of Casselberry hereby approves the Scope <br />of Services Agreement with HDR, Inc. (attached as "Exhibit A") for CEI services for the U.S. 17- <br />92 Right-of--Way Improvements Project, and authorizes the Mayor to execute said document on <br />behalf of the City. <br />SECTION II. Conflicts. All Resolutions or parts of Resolutions in conflict with any of the <br />provisions of this Resolution are hereby repealed. <br />
