RESOLUTION 10-2138 <br />"A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, <br />FLORIDA, APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF SUPPLEMENT <br />NO. 1 TO THE STANDARD CONSULTANT AGREEMENT FOR CONTINUING <br />PROFESSIONAL STORNIWATER SERVICES BETWEEN ENVIRONMENTAL <br />RESEARCH AND DESIGN, INC. AND THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY FOR AMBIENT <br />LAKE WATER QUALITY MONITORING; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS, <br />SEVERABILITY, AND EFFECTIVE DATE." <br />WHEREAS, ambient water quality sampling within the City's lakes is a critical tool for <br />monitoring the health of the City's lakes and gauging the long term impact of the City's <br />stormwater/water quality improvements program on the lakes; and <br />WHEREAS, such monitoring activity will also support the efforts of the Lake Jesup Basin <br />Management Action Plan (BMAP) for monitoring; and <br />WHEREAS, Environmental Research and Design, Ina (ERD) has provided satisfactory lake <br />water quality sampling services to the City for several years; and <br />WHEREAS, ERD has been selected by the City for a Standard Consultant Agreement to provide <br />Continuing Professional Stormwater Services for the City; and <br />WHEREAS, ERD has provided an updated lake water quality monitoring proposal that will <br />result in more than eight percent annual cost savings to the City; and <br />WHEREAS, City staff have reviewed the proposed Supplement No. 1 to the Agreement with <br />Environmental Research and Design, Inc. and find it sufficient meet the needs of the City. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY <br />OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: <br />SECTION L The City Commission of the City of Casselberry hereby approves Supplement No. 1 <br />to the Standard Consultant Agreement for Continuing Professional Stormwater Services between <br />Environmental Research and Design, Inc, and the City of Casselberry for ambient Lake Water Monitoring <br />(attached as "Attachment A") in a quarterly amount not to exceed $5,265.89, and authorizes the Mayor to <br />execute said document on behalf of the City. <br />SECTION II. Conflicts. All Resolutions or parts of Resolutions in conflict with any of the <br />provisions of this Resolution are hereby repealed. <br />SECTION III. Severability. If any Section or portion of a Section of this Resolution proves to be <br />invalid, unlawful, or unconstitutional, it shall not be held to invalidate or impair the validity, force, or effect <br />of any other Section or part of this Resolution. <br />
