ORDINANCE 09-1300 "AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, AMENDING THE OFFICAL STREET NAME MAP OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY AS ESTABLISHED IN ARTICLE III, SECTION 68-133, OF THE CITY CODE; RENAMING A PORTION OF NORTH WINTER PARK DRIVE TO GEE CREEK LANE, BEGINNING AT THE INTERSECTION OF GEE CREEK LANE EAST TO THE INTERSECTION OF 7TH STREET; RENAMING A PORTION OF NORTH WINTER PARK DRIVE TO OSCEOLA TRAIL, BEGINNING AT THE TIMBERLANE TRAIL INTERSECTION WEST TO THE BEGINNING OF THE EXISTING OSCEOLA TRAIL AND SOUTH TO THE GEE CREEK LANE INTERSECTION; NAMING A NEW PUBLIC WAY AS NORTH WINTER PARK DRIVE, EXTENDING FROM 7TH STREET NORTH TO THE STATE ROAD 434 INTERSECTION; NAMING A NEW PUBLIC WAY AS BELLE AVENUE, EXTENDING FROM THE SOUTH END OF THE EXISTING BELLE AVENUE TO THE NEW PUBLIC WAY NORTH WINTER PARK DRIVE INTERSECTION; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY, CODIFICATION, AND AN EFFECTIVE DATE." WHEREAS, under the authority provided by Article III, Section 68-133, of the City Code, the City Commission may name or rename streets and roads within the City's jurisdiction; and WHEREAS, a request has been received to rename a portion of North Winter Park Drive located in Section 4, Township 21, Range 30; the street name changes within the recorded plats of Seminole Sites, Plat Book 19, Pages 40-43, Colonnades 3'd Section, Plat Book 16, Page 55 and Lake Kathryn Park 5th Addition, Plat Book 15, Page 48, Public Records of Seminole County, Florida; and WHEREAS, renaming these roadways will help to eliminate confusion, facilitate improved emergency access, and ability of the public to locate streets and roads within the City of Casselberry; and WHEREAS, this change is consistent with the City Code for street renaming, naming new public ways, addressing, and the 911 system. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: SECTION I. The City Commission of the City of Casselberry hereby approves the renaming of a portion of North Winter Park Drive to Gee Creek Lane, beginning at the intersection of Gee Creek Lane east to the intersection of 7th Street, respectively, as outlined in Exhibit "A". SECTION II. The City Commission of the City of Casselberry hereby approves the renaming a portion of North Winter Park Drive to Osceola Trail, beginning at the Timberlane Trail intersection west to the beginning of the existing Osceola Trail and south to the Gee Creek Lane intersection, respectively, as outlined in Exhibit "A".
