A general discussion ensued regarding <br /> <br />commitment from the City and the various agencies, <br /> <br />In response to the Board's question, Mr. Paradise suggested the CRA agree to fund the project on <br /> <br />staff providing a business plan to the Board. Mr, McGregor made a motion to approve $81 1 based on <br /> <br />providing a business plan, memo from an interested organization and a memo from the City that they <br /> <br />assume <br /> <br />the ongoing expenses, Mr. Daigle seconded the motion, The motion passed unanimously by voice vote. <br /> <br />Agenda items No.9 and 10 were discussed as one item. <br /> <br />Ninth Item of Business: Update on Architectural design work for the Fagade Grant program. <br /> <br />Tenth Item of Business: Approve Contract with Cuhaci & Peterson for Fa~ade Grant program (not to exceed <br />$750 per location) based upon the $5,000 authorized at the last CRA meeting. <br /> <br />Ms Lynch presented a PowerPoint Presentation to the Board (a copy is attached and made a part of <br /> <br />minutes). After a brief discussion, Mr. Daigle made a motion to approve the Cuhaci & Peterson contract dated <br /> <br />1, 2009 CRA Commercial Building Design Concept Studies for the City of Casselberry. Ms. Campbell seconded <br /> <br />motion. The motion passed unanimously by voice vote. <br /> <br />Eleventh Item of Business: Update on major business changes in CRD and Visioning (Wal-Mart, Saturn, <br />Chrysler-Jeep, old Barnhills, etc.) <br /> <br />Mr. Paradise distributed and reviewed a CRD Visioning with Mid and High PMX map to Board (a copy is <br /> <br />attached and made a part of the minutes). Mr. Paradise said this item is a discussion item and will be brought back <br /> <br />to the CRA to discuss the location of the new intensities and densities. A general discussion ensued regarding <br /> <br />intensities and densities, the CRA term and the US Highway 17-92 corridor. <br /> <br />Mr. John Casselberry said based on an old comparison study that he reviewed, Altamonte Springs had <br /> <br />twice the tax base of Casselberry due to the number of commercial properties. He felt there was an abundance of <br /> <br />condominiums and multi-family homes which is devaluing single family homes. He said long term he would like to <br /> <br />see real estate taxes eliminated. He suggested a 10% sales tax and utility taxes could fund local government. Mr. <br />
