Planning & Zoning Commission!
Local Planning Agency
June 10, 2009
Page 5

It was decided that Ms. Smith would prepare a memo to the City Manager based on Mr. Aramendia's motion and ask

her how to proceed to the City Commission.

Ms, Smith said at the June 8, 2009 City Commission meeting, the Commission approved the first reading of the

Parking C Ordinance and it is scheduled for second reading on July 13, 2009. Ms. Smith stated several residents spoke

against the prohibition on racks and attachments at the meeting. Ms. Smith said that staff would be making a presentation at a

City Commission workshop regarding that particular issue.

Ms. Smith distributed a handout on quasi judicial hearings and rezoning to the Commission that was provided by

Ms. Reischmann. Ms. Smith requested the Commission review the handout and provide any questions at the July meeting.

Ms. Smith stated that the June 24, 2009 Planning and Zoning Commission meeting would be cancelled.

A general discussion ensued regarding snipe signs, registration of rental property, landscaping the old Mobil station on

Red Bug Lake Road and the flyover projects. Staff will bring information back to the Commission regarding the status on

registration of rental properties in the City and the landscaping of the vacant flyover parcels.

There being no further business to come before the Board, motion was made, seconded, and passed to adjourn.

Tapes of the meeting are available as a matter of public record.
