<br />Community Redevelopment Agency <br />March 13, 2009 <br />Page 2 of2 <br /> <br />Fifth Item of Business: Other Business <br /> <br />Mr. Bruce Lyons, Swan Development Advisors, presented a PowerPoint presentation to the CRA Board (a <br /> <br />copy of the presentation is attached and made a part of the minutes). <br /> <br />Mr. Trueba arrived at the meeting at 9:27 a.m. A general discussion ensued regarding the development of <br /> <br />the City's property. <br /> <br />Sixth Item of Business: Director's Report <br /> <br />Mr. Paradise said the Director's Report would be provided by email to the Board members. <br /> <br />Seventh Item of Business: Public Comments <br /> <br />Mr. Hank Lander, 445 Surrey Run, Casselberry, Florida came forward. Mr. Lander said he operates a small <br /> <br />business from his home in Casselberry. Mr. Lander felt it was important that the Community Redevelopment Agency <br /> <br />(CRA) needed positive signage in an effort to show the Community how the CRA dollars are being used. <br /> <br />Mr. Lander said there are some budget issues and he was concerned with the elimination of code <br /> <br />enforcement staff. He suggested that the CRA participate in the dialogue with the City regarding the importance of <br /> <br />maintaining code enforcement in our commercial areas. <br /> <br />Mr. Lander said a financial lost may have to be taken in order to develop the Concord Center property and <br /> <br />the CRA owned properties. <br /> <br />Mr. Lander encouraged renewals for membership to the Casselberry Chamber of Commerce. <br /> <br />A general discussion ensued regarding the value of the City and CRA owned properties and the payment on <br /> <br />the outstanding notes. Mr. Trueba excused himself from the meeting at 10:25 a.m. <br /> <br />Mr. John Casselberry, 700 South Lost Lake Lane, Casselberry, Florida came forward. Mr. Casselberry felt <br /> <br />incremental phase development was a good idea. Mr. Casselberry felt the design of the project should have some <br /> <br />development guidelines.
