RESOLUTION 07-1787 "A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF A DISPATCH CONTRACT BETWEEN THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY AND THE SEMINOLE COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE TO PROVIDE FOR POLICE DISPATCHING SERVICES; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY AND EFFECTIVE DATE." Whereas, in accordance with Sections 163.01(2) and 163.01(14) Florida Statutes, the SEMINOLE COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE and CITY OF CASSELBERRY are authorized to enter into inter-local agreements for the provision of services, Whereas, the SHERIFF'S OFFICE maintains seven days per week, twenty-four hour per day law enforcement dispatching services, and Whereas, the CITY OF CASSELBERRY has determined that it is advantageous for the City and its residents to contract with the SHERIFF'S OFFICE for the provision of police dispatching services. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: SECTION I. That the Agreement as set forth in Exhibit A between the City of Casselberry and the Seminole County Sheriffls Office, attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference, is hereby approved. SECTION II. The Mayor of the City of Casselbeny is hereby authorized to execute said Agreement for and on behalf of the City of Casselbeny. SECTION III. Conflicts. All Resolutions or parts of Resolutions in conflict with any of the provisions of this Resolution are hereby repealed. SECTION IV. Severabilitv. If any Section or portion of a Section of this Resolution proved to be invalid, unlawful, or unconstitutional, it shall not be held to invalidate or impair the validity, force, or effects of any other Section or part of this Resolution. SECTION V. Effective Date. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and adoption. PASSED AND ADOPTED this r~(/ - day of 2007.
