<br />I . <br /> <br />( <br /> <br />. . <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO. ~ <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, <br />FLORIDA, CREATING A PLANNING BOARD OF THE <br />CITY; PREREQUISITES FOR MEMBERSHIP; APPOINT- <br />MENTS; VACANCIES; REMOVAL; DUTIES AND POWERS; <br />NATURE OF REPORTS AND RECOMMENDATIONS; CON- <br />FLICTS; EFFECTIVE DATE <br /> <br />BE IT ENACTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA: <br /> <br />SECTION ONE - BOARD AND MEMBERS <br /> <br />i-A. Board Created. There is hereby created a Plan- <br /> <br />ning Board of the City which board shall consist of not less than <br /> <br />five (5) members who shall be appointed by the mayor, subject to <br /> <br />the approval of the council. <br /> <br />i-B. Residence Requirement. The members of the <br /> <br />Planning Board shall be residents, freeholders, and registered <br /> <br />voters of the City. <br /> <br />i-C. Conflicts of Position. No member of the Plan- <br /> <br />ning Board shall be an elected or appointed officer or an <br /> <br />employee of the City or hold any other position in the City. <br /> <br />i-D. Term. The term of office of each member shall <br /> <br />be for a period of two (2) years with eligibility for reappoint- <br /> <br />ment. All members shall be appointed and approved at the annual <br /> <br />meeting of the council. The original appointments to the board <br /> <br />shall consist of three (3) members for two-(2)-year terms, and <br /> <br />two (2) members for one-year terms. As the original terms expire, <br /> <br />all new terms shall be for two (2) years. <br /> <br />i-E. Vacancies. Whenever any vacancy shall exist in <br /> <br />the board, the mayor shall notify the city council within thirty <br /> <br />(30) days following such vacancy, and appoint a successor or <br /> <br />successors, as the case may be, to fill the unexpired term. <br />
