Item 4 – Sportsman’s Park: <br />The Department has recommended considering the park as surplus property and putting it on the <br />market for sale. The property has been appraised and a title search has been completed. The <br />City Attorney is working to clear the title so the property can be put forth for sale. <br /> <br />Liz Torres put motion forth that the property (1) be declared as surplus; and, (2) that the property <br />be declared for sale. Motion seconded by Phyllis Sheppard. Motion passed unanimously 3-0. <br /> <br /> <br />Director’s Report: <br /> <br /> Staff changes <br />? – T.C. Donahue resigned; David Rachel resigned; Anne Archer resigned; <br />Joe Conigliaro promoted to Building Maintenance Coordinator; Nancy Baillargeon – <br />new P/T Office Assistant in Parks Admin. Office <br /> Parks Ordinance issue <br />? - The second reading was pulled from the 4/10 City Commission <br />agenda. A rewrite of one section needs to be made with regard to political candidate <br />sponsorship of City events. <br /> International Folk Festival issue <br />?– The Department and the City has a significant issue <br />with some of the other sponsors. There was a misunderstanding of our role in this event; <br />we were under the impression that we were a partner with the Rotary Club; when, in fact, <br />we were informed that we are a “gold sponsor”. In the future, the Department and the <br />City will need to be clearer regarding our role and have contracted language. <br /> Parks Department Vehicles <br />? – All vehicles are current in the process of being striped; <br />this will differentiate them from Public Works vehicles, as well as improving their <br />appearance. <br /> <br /> <br />Adjournment: <br /> <br />Motion made to adjourn meeting by Liz Torres; seconded by Phyllis Sheppard.
