<br />CASSELBERRY CITY COMMISSION <br />Minutes of December 8, 2008 - Regular Meeting <br />Page 22 of 24 <br /> <br />C. Request for Reduction of Lien - 383 Kingslev Drive <br /> <br />Staff Presentation: Ms. Barbara Lipscomb, City Manager, stated the Code Enforcement Board, at their <br />November 13, 2008 meeting, recommended that the lien placed on 383 Kingsley Drive for case numbers CE- <br />07-01638, CE-07-1639, and CE-08-01641 be reduced from $18,225 to $9,000 The violations were for a <br />broken window, overgrown property, and trash and debris. The property was foreclosed on by Washington <br />Mutual Bank on May 8, 2008 and on July 16, 2008 the three violations were found to be in compliance. <br />There is currently an individual who is waiting to purchase this property, however, until the liens are paid, <br />the title will not clear and the sale cannot take place. <br /> <br />Budget Impact: Impact to the City Budget would be an increase of $9,000 to the General Fund. <br /> <br />Recommendation: The City Manager and the Police Chief recommended consideration of the Code <br />Enforcement Board recommendation to reduce the lien amount to $9,000. <br /> <br />MOTION: <br /> <br />Commissioner Doerner moved to reduce the lien on <br />383 Kingsley Drive from $18,225 to 59,000, as <br />recommended by the Code Enforcement Board. <br />Motion was seconded by Vice Mayor Hufford. Motion <br />carried unanimously by voice vote 5 - O. <br /> <br />13. DISCUSSION ITEMS <br /> <br />A. Municipal Advisorv Committee (Metroplan) Report - Mavor Glancv <br /> <br />Mayor Glancy stated a presentation was made by FDOT noting that they have had a $221 ,000,000 reduction <br />offunds. The FDOT deferral list consisted of six projects, including the landscaping project for the Red Bug <br />Flyover, which was funded for 20 II. A motion was made by the Municipal Advisory Committee to support <br />FDOT placing this project back on the funded list. The Chairman of the Committee will present it the <br />Metroplan Board on Wednesday, December 10, 2008. <br /> <br />B. Envision Seminole Board Reoort - Mavor Glancv <br /> <br />No report. <br /> <br />C. Mavors/Managers Group Reoort - Mavor Glancy <br /> <br />Mayor Glancy reported she and the City Manager both attended the last meeting of the Mayors/Managers <br />Group. The Local Option Sales Tax was the main topic of discussion at the meeting, and it was proposed <br />to place the extension of the tax on the August 2010 ballot. <br />
