Recommendation: The City Manager and the Public Works Director recommended approval of Resolution 08-1954. Commissioner Doerner requested that Item F, Resolution 08-1947, and Item I, SPR 08-19 be removed from the Consent Agenda for separate discussion and separate consideration. MOTION: Commissioner Solomon moved to approve the Consent Agenda as amended by removing Item (F), Resolution 08-1947 and Item (I), SPR 08-19. Motion was seconded by Commissioner MlUer. Motion carried unanimously by voice vote 5 - O. F. Resolution 08-1947 - Acceptance of Proposal from Sunshine Building and Development Corp. For Miscellaneous Sidewalk Removal and Replacement Note: Resolution 08-1947 was removedfrom the Consent Agendafor separate consideration. "A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE AND EXECUTION OF A PROPOSAL SUBMITTED TO THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY FROM SUNSHINE BUILDING AND DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION FOR PROVIDING REMOVAL AND REPLACEMENT OF MISCELLANEOUS NEIGHBORHOOD SIDEWALKS; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY, AND EFFECTIVE DATE." Introduction: Resolution 08-1947 provides for acceptance of a proposal from Sunshine Building and Development Corp. for removal and replacement of miscellaneous neighborhood sidewalks. The Public Works Department has inspected and identified specific sidewalk segments requiring replacement throughout the subdivisions of Sausalito, Indian Hills, Branch Tree, and Carriage Hill. Additionally, the Public Works Department needs to construct a new sidewalk connection along the northern side of Oleander Way, which is budgeted for construction within the current fiscal year. It is important to note that the sidewalks inspected to date represent approximately one-third of the City's publicly maintained sidewalks. The Public Works Department will continue the sidewalk inspection program throughout the remainder of the City during the next couple of months. Similar sidewalk repair and replacement contracts will be presented for approval at future City Commission meetings. Budget Impact: The total cost associated with this proposal will not exceed $83,142 without prior written authorization. Funds to cover these miscellaneous neighborhood sidewalk replacements are available in the Community Development Department- Neighborhood Preservation Program Account 001-021 0-515.63-04. Recommendation: The City Manager and the Public Works Director recommended approval of Resolution 08-1947.
