Mr. Kohler distributed the audit packet from Cherry, <br /> <br />& Holland providing a brief summary <br /> <br />of the firm, resumes of key professionals, and a fee structure (a copy is on fil.e in the Community Development <br /> <br />Department). Mr. Kohler <br /> <br />the firm could not <br /> <br />a definite dollar amount to <br /> <br /> <br />of the audit <br /> <br />Mr. Kohler recommended that the <br /> <br />Board authorize Mr. Dreier, Finance Director, and himself to negotiate a <br /> <br />contract with firm not to <br /> <br />$25,000 to signed by the CRA Chairman. He <br /> <br />if the amount <br /> <br />the <br /> <br /> <br />it would require <br /> <br /> <br />approval from the <br /> <br /> <br />Ms. Aurora Rodriguez joined meeting at a.m. <br /> <br />Mr. McGregor made a motion to comply with Mr. Kohler's request to prepare a contract for Cherry Bekaert & <br /> <br />Holland not to <br /> <br />$25,000. Pastor Akers seconded the motion. <br /> <br />A brief discussion ensued regarding contacting McDirmit & Davis regarding the scope of services for the <br /> <br />independent audit. Mr. Kohler <br /> <br />that McDirmit & Davis was contacted and the firm did not respond to the <br /> <br />of <br /> <br />services. Mr. Kohler said he would follow up with the second firm. The motion passed unanimously by voice vote. <br />Sixth Item of Business: Review 17/92 Real Estate Inquiries <br /> <br />Mr. Kohler stated he has received inquiries regarding the sale or purchase of the property located on the <br /> <br />west side of US Highway 17/92 adjacent to the Target entrance. Mr. Kohler explained that the two parcels located on <br />the west side of US Highway 17/92 are owned by the CRA; however, one of the parcels shows the City as the owner. <br />Mr. Daigle stated he received a contract on the Nebel parcel for $690,000 and providing the CRA first right <br />of refusal. Mr. Daigle said he informed the real estate agent that the CRA would discuss the contract at the next <br /> <br />meeting. <br /> <br />Mr. Kohler suggested that an appraisal should be completed <br /> <br />purchasing or selling any property. It <br /> <br />was decided that this item would be discussed in greater detail during the workshop. <br /> <br />Seventh Item of Business: Approval of Payment <br /> <br />Mr. Hoffmann made a motion to approve the Real Estate Research Consultant invoice. Ms. Rodriguez <br /> <br />seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously by voice vote. <br />
