<br />Community Redevelopment Agency <br />July 7, 2006 <br />Page 6 of 7 <br /> <br />A discussion ensued regarding the development of the CRA brochure. Ms. Smith stated the City <br /> <br />has hired a part time person to act as a community liaison person and she may be available to work on the <br /> <br />brochure. The Board stated they wanted to be consulted before an outside firm was hired to create the <br /> <br />brochure. Ms. Rodriguez stated she would ask if the marketing department at Crown Bank would be <br />interested in developing the CRA brochure. <br />The hiring of consulting services was discussed. Mr. Fall suggested the CRA have a Planner of <br />Record to follow the CRA through the process and would assist on projects that are too large for the City <br />staff to handle or staff is prohibited by time restraints. Mr. Fall said that would require discussions with the <br />City Commission. <br />Seventh Item of Business: Public Comments. <br /> <br />Mr. John Casselberry, 700 South Lost lake lane, Casselberry, Florida came forward. Mr. <br />Casselberry suggested that official statements should not be made until the audit is approved. In response <br />to Mr. Casselberry's question, Mr. Fall stated that properties included in the CRD had tax codes that were <br /> <br />mislabeled and that would change the tax base and the increment. <br /> <br />Mr. Hank Lander, 445 Surrey Run, Casselberry, Florida came forward. Mr. Lander suggested that <br /> <br />the CRA Chairman require more notification regarding the audit process and requested that a CRA <br />representative should attend the meeting at the early stage of the audit meeting. He also suggested that the <br /> <br />CRA Chairman provide monthly updates to the City Commission. <br /> <br />The follow-up process to the audit findings was discussed. <br />Mr. Lander suggested that Mr. Daigle introduce himself to Maryanne Morse and let her know that <br />you are the Chairman and are a stakeholder. Mr. Fall suggested Mr. Daigle introduce himself to Mr. Bill <br /> <br />Carroll at the Clerk's office and let them know that he is available to them. <br /> <br />Mr. Lander suggested that the CRA should be more proactive including marketing the CRA which could <br /> <br />include a website, newsletter etc. <br /> <br />A discussion ensued regarding possible areas to target CRA funds using the CRD Design <br /> <br />Standards. Mr. Daigle stated that he and Mr. Lander .have discussed holding a lunch meeting with tire <br />
