<br />RESOLUTION 08-1928 <br /> <br />"A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA <br />ADOPTING THE TENTATIVE OPERATING BUDGET FOR THE CITY <br />OF CASSLEBERRY FOR THE FISCAL YEAR COMMENCING ON <br />OCTOBER 1, 2008 AND ENDING ON SEPTEMBER 30, 2009; <br />PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY AND PROVIDING <br />FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE." <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Casselberry must provide public notice <br />of and hold a public hearing on the tentative operating budget pursuant to Florida TRIM statute; <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the public notice for the public hearing for the tentative operating budget <br />was provided to all taxpayers of the City of Casselberry by the Seminole County Property <br />Appraiser in their "TRIM" notice which was mailed out in August 2008; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Casselberry desires to adopt the <br />tentative budget; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Casselberry deems that this Resolution <br />is in the best interest of the public health, safety, welfare and well-being of the citizens of <br />Casselberry. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION <br />OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />SECTION I. Tentative Budl!et. The City Commission adopts its tentative budget as <br />may be amended for the Fiscal Year commencing October I, 2008 and ending September 30, <br />2009, as presented at its regularly scheduled Public Hearing assembled on the date of this <br />Resolution, with all amendments, if any, adopted at that meeting. <br /> <br />SECTION II. ProDosed EXDenditures. The proposed expenditures in the tentative <br />budget total $46,342,984. The expenditures are as follows: General Fund - $19,847,058, Other <br />Governmental Funds - $11,774,941, Enterprise Funds - $14,720,985. The budget is based upon <br />gross taxable value of real and personal property of $1 ,528,734,902. <br /> <br />SECTION III. Public Notice. Within fifteen (15) days of the date of this Resolution, <br />the City Clerk shall advertise in a newspaper of general circulation the City's intent to finally <br />adopt the millage rate and budget and shall hold a public hearing to finalize the budget and adopt <br />the millage rate not less than two (2) days or more than five (5) days after the date the <br />advertisement is first published. <br /> <br />SECTION IV. Conflicts. All Resolutions or parts of Resolutions in conflict with any of <br />the provisions ofthis Resolution are hereby repealed. <br />
