<br />RESOLUTION 08-1930 <br /> <br />"A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, FOR <br />THE EXECUTION OF THE JOINT PARTICIPATION AGREEMENT <br />WITH THE FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION; <br />PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY, AND EFFECTIVE <br />DATE." <br /> <br />WHEREAS, one of the main corridors into the City of Casselberry is US 17-92; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City desires to continually enhance and improve the major corridors into <br />the City; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Florida Department of Transportation agreed to compensate the City in the <br />amount of$13l,255 for providing temporary landscaping and irrigation improvements on three (3) <br />vacant FDOT properties on US Highway 17-92 between Pine Street and Piney Ridge Road; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it would be beneficial for the City to receive funding from FDOT to enhance <br />the appearance of the vacant properties on US Highway 17-92; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Public Works Department has reviewed the proposed Joint Participation <br />Agreement between the City of Casselberry and the Florida Department of Transportation and find <br />it complete and favorable to the City. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE <br />CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />SECTION I. The City Commission of the City of Casselberry hereby approves the Joint <br />Participation Agreement between the Florida Department of Transportation and the City of <br />Casselberry; Financial Management Number 424374-1-58-01, (attached as Attachment "A"), and <br />authorizes the Mayor to execute said document on behalf of the City. <br /> <br />SECTION II. The City Commission hereby accepts the terms and conditions as presented <br />in said Agreement. <br /> <br />SECTION III. Conflicts. All Resolutions or parts of Resolutions in conflict with any of <br />the provisions of this Resolution are hereby repealed. <br /> <br />SECTION IV. Severabilitv. If any Section or portion of a Section of this Resolution <br />proves to be invalid, unlawful, or unconstitutional, it shall not be held to invalidate or impair the <br />validity, force, or effect of any other Section or part of this Resolution. <br /> <br />SECTION V. Effective Date. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon <br />its passage and adoption. <br />
