<br />EXHIBIT B <br /> <br />City Commission Meeting Rules and Procedures <br />Adopted August 28, 2006 <br /> <br />I. Al!:enda Procedures. <br /> <br />A. Audience Participation. <br /> <br />I) Citizens' Comments. Input and issues from members of the audience regarding any <br />item not on the ag.c,lda will bc rcceived during "Citizens' Comments". Persons <br />wishing to be heard shall b~ recognized by the Mayor by raising their hand or <br />standing. Each person recognized tor the pUrpose of addressing the Commission <br />shall step forward to the podium and microphone, identify himself or herself by <br />name and address for the record, and present his or her item. All remarks shall be <br />addr,;s3ed to the Commission as a body and not to anyone member thereof. No <br />person, other than the Commission and the person having the floor, shall be <br />pennitteJ t, enter into any debate or discussion, either directly or through a member <br />of the Commission, without the permission of the presiding officer. Each speaker <br />wi;] 0'; required to follow g.cneral meeting decorum, and limit discussion to the <br />topic(s) they are prcs~nting. <br /> <br />2) Persons introduc'rig ..ems which are lengthy in content and/or teclmical in nature <br />(containing many detailed f",ints) s;lall be encouraged to submit such issues or <br />.term in writing to the City Clerk, for dissemination to the Commission according <br />to wllmil distribution poJi~ics and rules. Such submission shall include the name <br />and address of the submitting person. <br /> <br />B. Items on the Agenda. <br /> <br />I) Persons in the auoKnce who wish to present additional information and/or questions <br />regarding items on the regular agenda may do so at the time the particular item is <br />being presented, rather than during the Citizens' Comments portion of the agenda <br />(ex~ept l'ublic I-ftming items, whi~h are addressed at the time of Public Hearing). <br /> <br />2) Clerical cm)rs (such as misspelled words, incorrect account numbers, etc.) which <br />are m.;Jor in nature <<nd easily corrected by staff should be presented to the City <br />Clerk, Staff Assistant to the CIty Commission and the City Clerk, or City Manager <br />in advar,ce or' the meeting time so as to be corrected prior to the meeting. A <br />correction memo (or pages) will be prepared and distributed to the Commission <br />prior to the lime 01' tbe me<:ting [or their consideration. <br />
