CASSELBERRY CITY COMMISSION Minutes of JUDe 23, 2008 - Regular Meetiog Page 16 of17 G. Letter to St. Johns River Water Management District Regardinl! Proposed Rule Amendments for Irrigation Introduction: Ms. Barbara Lipscomb, City Manager, stated staff was requesting that a letter be sent to the St. Johns River Water Management District to submit comments and suggestions regarding the proposed rule amendments for irrigation from the St. Johns River Water Management District which will further limit irrigation usage as it pertains to the City of Casselberry's water and wastewater utility. A draft of the proposed letter was distributed to the City Commission with the agenda materials. MOTION: Vice Mayor Hufford moved to authorize submittal of a letter to St. Johns River Water Management District regarding proposed rule changes for irrigation by the City Manager. Motion was seconded by Commissioner MUler. Motion carried unanimously by voice vote 5 _ O. 14. CITY MANAGER'S REPORT Distributed a written report of responses to recent Commission inquiries and information requests to the City Commission. . Noted staff was still working on the vehicle rack issue and she would be reporting back to the Commission on the matter soon. 15. CITY ATTORNEY'S REPORT No report. 16. CITY CLERK'S REPORT Reported the City Candidate qualifYing period was held from Noon, Monday, June 16,2008 through Noon, Friday, June 20, 2008 and the following candidates qualified for to run: City Commissioner. Seat No.4 Mavor/Commissioner. Seat No.5 Colleen Hufford (Incumbent) Austin Brooks Charlene Glancy Bob Goff (Incumbent) Matt Myre Announced that since V ice Mayor Hufford was unopposed, the City Commissioner, Seat No.4 race would not appear on the ballot. Further noted that Vice Mayor Hufford will be sworn in for her second term in September.
