Proposed Rule <br />Amendments for Irrigation <br /> <br />Introduction: Ms. Barbara Lipscomb, City Manager, stated staff was requesting that a letter be sent to the <br />St. Johns River Water Management District to submit comments and suggestions regarding the proposed rule <br />amendments for irrigation from the St. Johns River Water Management District which will further limit <br />irrigation usage as it pertains to the City of Casselberry's water and wastewater utility. A draft of the <br />proposed letter was distributed to the City Commission with the agenda materials. <br /> <br />MOTION: <br /> <br />Vice Mayor Hufford moved to authorize submittal of <br />a letter to St. Johns River Water Management District <br />regarding proposed rule changes for irrigation by the <br />City Manager. Motion was seconded by Commissioner <br />MUler. Motion carried unanimously by voice vote 5 _ <br />O. <br /> <br />14. CITY MANAGER'S REPORT <br /> <br />Distributed a written report of responses to recent Commission inquiries and information requests <br />to the City Commission. <br />. Noted staff was still working on the vehicle rack issue and she would be reporting back to the <br />Commission on the matter soon. <br /> <br />15. CITY ATTORNEY'S REPORT <br /> <br />No report. <br /> <br />16. CITY CLERK'S REPORT <br /> <br />Reported the City Candidate qualifYing period was held from Noon, Monday, June 16,2008 through <br />Noon, Friday, June 20, 2008 and the following candidates qualified for to run: <br /> <br />City Commissioner. Seat No.4 <br /> <br />Mavor/Commissioner. Seat No.5 <br /> <br />Colleen Hufford (Incumbent) <br /> <br />Austin Brooks <br />Charlene Glancy <br />Bob Goff (Incumbent) <br />Matt Myre <br /> <br />Announced that since V ice Mayor Hufford was unopposed, the City Commissioner, Seat No.4 race <br />would not appear on the ballot. Further noted that Vice Mayor Hufford will be sworn in for her <br />second term in September. <br />
