<br />Planning & Zoning Commission! <br />Local Planning Agency <br />May 14. 2008 <br />Page 4 <br /> <br />A brief discussion ensued regarding the distance separation requirements and the option of requiring the <br /> <br />businesses to be located in the Industrial Medium zoning district Mr. Buchanan asked for a motion to address LPA <br /> <br />08-05. Mr. Henson made a motion to forward LPA 08-05 to the City Commission with a recommendation of approval <br /> <br />based on staffs recommendations outlined in the staff memo dated May 8, 2008 from Ms. Smith to the Planning and <br /> <br />Zoning Commission and modifying the distance separation from 5,000' to 2,500' of any residentially zoned district, or <br /> <br />any retirement or assisted living facility for seniors. A general discussion ensued regarding containment of shopping carts within the <br /> <br />shopping centers' property. Ms. Smith said there is nothing regulating existing retail stores; however, the new Wal- <br /> <br />Mart will install a shopping cart containment system. <br /> <br />A discussion ensued regarding code enforcement issues. Ms. Smith explained that code enforcement <br /> <br />complaints can be submitted online. A discussion ensued regarding the location of a fence on a residential property <br /> <br />located on South Winter Park Drive. Ms. Smith said she would forward the fence complaint to the Code Enforcement <br /> <br />Department and she would also make a site visit. <br />
