<br />Whereas, the impact to the community is immeasurable, as the delay of the Interchange <br />project will result in significant disinvestment in the area, traffic congestion, corridor stagnation, <br />and reduced tax base to provide services to the community; and <br /> <br />Whereas, the City of Casselberry has worked diligently with Seminole County and the <br />FOOT to ensure that the Interchange project becomes an added stimulus for redevelopment <br />rather than a burden and the City Commission of the City of Casselberry believes that it is <br />imperative that funding for this project be restored. <br /> <br />Now, therefore, be it resolved by the City Commission of the City Of Casselberry, <br />Florida as follows: <br /> <br />SECTION I. That the City of Casselberry, Florida supports the implementation of the U.S. <br />17-92 Interchange at S.R. 436 project and the widening of U.S. 17-92 from Shepard Road to <br />Lake Mary Boulevard as quickly as possible and requests that any and all agencies able to <br />assist with funding and moving these projects forward in a timely and expeditious manner do <br />so. <br /> <br />SECTION II. Conflicts. All Resolutions or parts of Resolutions in conflict with any of the <br />provisions of this Resolution are hereby repealed. <br /> <br />SECTION III. Severabilitv. If any Section or portion of a Section of this Resolution proves <br />to be invalid, unlawful, or unconstitutional, it shall not be held to invalidate or impair the validity, <br />force, or effect of any other Section or part of this Resolution. <br /> <br />SECTION IV. Effective Date.
