<br />(1) The fQ!lowina tvoes of burnina are oermitted if ore-aooroved bv the <br />Fire Chief <br /> <br />a. fire deoartment trainina fires. <br />b. Prescribed burns conducted bv the Fire Deoartment or the <br />State Division of Forestrv. <br /> <br />(2) The tQllowina tvoes of burnina are oermitted in non-resiqential districts <br />if a oermil is obtained and aooroved bv the Fire Chief. Ooen burnina <br />within residential gistricts is orohibited exceot as allowed in . _ <br />(b)-(3). <br /> <br />a. Ceremonial fires. <br />b. Religious fires. <br />c. Recreational fires. <br />d. Outdoor commerci~1 cookina fires. <br />e. Outdoor heatina or Iightina devices in a non-residential <br />settina which use a liQuid or aaseous fuel as th~ heat or light <br />source. <br /> <br />(3) The followina tvoes of burnina do not reauire ore-aooroval bv the Fire <br />Chief and are oermitted if condu~ted in a safe manner. without <br />comolaints. and do not conflict with the Floridi:l Eire Prevention Code: <br /> <br />a. eurnina in kilns. ovens or other similarlv reaulated devices. <br />b. Burnina in commerciallv available or sold outqoor heating <br />aooliances such as chimeneas. fire bowls. outdoor fireolaces. <br />oatio heaters or other similar devices. The total fuel area of t~ <br />materials burned shall not exceed 3 feet in diameter and 2 feet <br />in heiaht. <br />c. Cookjna fires. which are defined as the non-commercial, <br />residential site burnina of charcoals. solig wood fuel. orooane <br />or natural aas. contained in a device with a crill and/or soit. and <br />constructed solely for the cookina of food. <br />d. Warmina fires conducted at work sites in a barrel when the <br />temoerature is below 45 decrees Fahrenheit <br /> <br />(4) When the City Manaaer q~\!ides that an emeraencv condition exists <br />within the City that warrants burnina <br /> <br />(c) Should fire deoartment services be reauired to evaluate and/or extinauish an <br />ooen burn due to nealiaence. failure to obtain or comolv witb 1he terms and conditions of a <br /> <br />2 <br />
