Departmental Presentation - Revenue Forecasting by Mark Glover, Interim Finance <br />Director <br /> <br />Mr. Glover gave a precursory overview of the City's Budget for Fiscal Year 2007-2008 in preparation <br />for the Budget Workshops scheduled for July 16 and 17,2007. <br /> <br />C. Mayor's Proclamation - Proclaiming the month of July as "National Parks and Recreational <br />Month": <br /> <br />Accepting the Proclamation proclaiming the Month of July as "National Parks and Recreational <br />Month" was Matt Fortini, City's Parks and Recreation Director. <br /> <br />7. Citizens' Comments: <br /> <br />The Mayor stated that persons who wish to make comment or make inquiry on any matter not on the <br />Agenda may do so at this time. Please raise your hand to be recognized, give your name and address <br />to speak on any matter. All comments are to be directed to the Mayor and City Commission. If you <br />wish to be heard during Public Hearings, you will be recognized at that time. <br /> <br />The following individual came forward to address the Commission: <br /> <br />I) John Casselberry, 700 South Lost Lake Lane, Casselberry, Florida, suggested Commission <br />construct better incentives for correcting code enforcement problems for rental properties. <br /> <br />2) Bobby LeChance, 6 Winding Ridge Road, Casselberry, Florida, presented the Commission with <br />a petition signed by twenty-six residents soliciting help with traffic problems at the intersection <br />of Winding Ridge and Red Bug Lake Road. <br /> <br />3) Stan Bessmer, 130 I Glastonberry Road, Maitland, Florida, reiterated his objections to the City's <br />annexation policy and called for its repeal because there was no way the City of Casselberry will <br />annex any property in Fern Park. He also objected to Commission authorizing the Police <br />Department being the public relations contact for comments regarding the green card. <br /> <br />4) Aura Hatton, 302 Triplet Lake Drive, Casselberry, Florida, voiced concerns and presented <br />pictures regarding problems withjet skis on the lakes and asked the Commission to look at <br />remedies to resolve the situation. <br /> <br />5) Ryan Houck, Representing Floridians for Smarter Growth, requested the Commission to adopt a <br />Resolution opposing hometown democracy, i.e. a statewide proposed amendment to the Florida <br />Constitution that would mandate voter approval on all changes to a City or County's <br />Comprehensive Land Use Plan. The Commission asked that the City Manager bring this item <br />back to the Agenda for July 23,2007. <br /> <br />6) Clyde Achord, 275 Plaza Oval, Casselberry, Florida, reported on a drug related problem in his <br />neighborhood at the apartments across the street from his residence. He asked for more Police <br />patrol to try and curtail the problem. The Commission asked the Police Chiefto look into the <br />matter and bring back a report at the next meeting. <br />
