<br />City Commission Meeting <br />June 25, 2007 <br />Page 9 <br /> <br />3) Charlene Glancy, 210 NE Triplet Drive, Casselberry, FL, spoke in favor of the January <br />29,2008 election date and supported the amendment proposed by Hank Lander for the <br />Commission to select the Mayor and Chairman. <br /> <br />4) Pat Rose, 580 Queens Mirror Circle, Casselberry, FL, also supported an amendrnent to <br />allow the Comrnission to select the Mayor and Chairman frorn among its own members. <br /> <br />By consensus of the Commission, it was determined that the January 29,2007 election date was <br />the most desirable and fiscally responsible and in the best interest of the citizens of Casselberry. <br /> <br />MOTION: Moved by Commissioner Jon Miller to approve 07-1214, setting the <br />Charter Amendment Referendum Election date of January 29, 2008, <br />as presented. Motion was seconded by Commissioner Sandra T. <br />Solomon and carried unanimously. (4 - 0) <br /> <br />The Commission also supported an amendment presented by Hank Lander to elect the Mayor <br />from among its members and directed the City Attorney research the possibility of adding this <br />amendment under separate ordinance on the January 29, 2008 ballot. This item will be brought <br />back for consideration at the July 9, 2008 Commission Meeting. <br /> <br />C. Public Hearing and First Reading of Ordinance 07-1215 - Revision to ULDR <br />Section 3-10.9, Parking of Recreational Equipment in Residential Districts <br /> <br />The City Clerk read Ordinance 07-1215 by title as follows: <br /> <br />"AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, AMENDING PART <br />III, ARTICLE X, SECTION 3-10.9 OF THE CASSELBERRY CODE OF ORDINANCES <br />ENTITLED "PARKING OF VEHICLES IN RESIDENTIAL DISTRICTS" BY <br />REPEALING SECTION (A)(2), "RECREATIONAL VEHICLES AND VESSELS", <br />SECTION (A)(3), "CAMPING VEHICLES" AND SECTION 3-10.9(B), "PARKING AND <br />STORAGE OF RECREATIONAL VEHICLES, VESSELS, AND CAMPING VEHICLES <br />IN MUL TIF AMIL Y DEVELOPMENT REQUIREMENTS"; ESTABLISHING SECTION <br />2, "RECREATIONAL EQUIPMENT", PROVIDING A DEFINITION FOR <br />RECREATIONAL EQUIPMENT, DIFFERENTIATING BETWEEN SINGLE-FAMILY <br />RESIDENTIAL DISTRICT AND MULTI-FAMILY RESIDENTIAL DISTRICT <br />REQUIREMENTS PROVIDING PARKING LOCATIONS IN EACH TYPE OF <br />DISTRICT; ESTABLISHING SECTION 3, "USE OF TRAILERS WITHIN THE <br />RESIDENTIAL DISTRICT" DEFINING "PERMANENT" AND "TEMPORARY USE" <br />AND PROVIDING CRITERIA FOR A TEMPORARY USE PARKING PERMIT; <br />PROVIDING FOR CODIFICATION, CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY AND AN <br />EFFECTIVE DATE." <br />
