City Commission Meeting
June 25, 2007
Page 14

Commissioner Hufford

· Also attended the Oxford Road Meeting and voiced her concerns regarding its impact on
Sunset Road.
· Reported on her meeting with Tom Kohler
· Attended the Volunteer Board Appreciation Dinner and thanked the stafffor their hard
work.
· Commented on the Mayor's lack of self control and inappropriate behavior he exhibited
at the June 11,2007 Commission Meeting. She asked the City Attorney if the
Commission could censure the Mayor and let him know that his inappropriate behavior
was not appreciated.

The City Attorney stated that the Commission is the judge of its own members and every
commissioner is entitled to full due process, notice and a hearing and there should not be
any action taken by the Commission without providing advance notice. If a
Cornmissioner wishes to make some kind of charge against the Mayor, it should be
placed in writing and provided to the mayor. Then, if the Commission as a whole votes
to investigate any behavior that potentially violates rules, the investigation should be
handled by an independent party. The investigation should conclude with a full hearing
entitling the Mayor to his own counsel and the right to present witnesses etc. She
cautioned the Commission that all the Commissioners are entitled to full due process
rights and should not be charged without advance notice and the opportunity to be heard.
This item should be discussed when all members are present.

Commissioner Solomon

· Attended the Volunteer Board Appreciation Dinner and thanked the staff for their hard
work in the preparation of the affair.

Vice Mavor/Commissioner Doerner

· Attended the Seminole County CRA Meeting where the U.S. 17-92/S.R. 436 Flyover was
discussed, which included a video that should be coming to the City Commission for a
presentation.
· Discussed the BroWDsfield designation that will be brought to the Commission at a later
date.
· Complemented the staff on the Volunteer Board Appreciation Dinner.
