Such election shall be held in conformity <br />with the laws of the State of Florida. The Supervisor of Elections of Seminole County is hereby <br />requested to coordinate all matters of said referendum election with the City Clerk. The <br />proposed Charter amendments shall be submitted to the voters at a special election to be held on <br />January 29,2008. <br /> <br />SECTION 2. Amendments to City Charter, Article IV, Sections 10 and 12. The <br />ballot titles, questions and proposed Charter changes are set forth in Ordinance 07-1214 and as <br />follows: <br /> <br />City Charter Amendment 3: <br /> <br />AMEND THE CHARTER REGARDING THE ELECTION OF THE MAYOR. <br /> <br />Should the proposed Amendment to the City Charter of the City of Casselberry, as <br />set forth in Ordinance No. 07-1214, providing that the City Commission shall <br />armually elect a Mayor from among City Commission Members, be adopted? <br /> <br />Yes <br /> <br />No <br /> <br />Article IV. FORM OF GOVERNMENT; CITY COMMISSION <br /> <br />Section 10. Creation of City Commission, composition; term. <br /> <br />There is hereby created a City Commission of the City of Casselberry consisting of five <br />(5) members; fellr (4) Ce!Hmissieaers ami a Mllj'or, '.vllO shall alse be knewH as a CemmissieH8f. <br />Each member of the City Commission shall be elected at large in the manner provided in this <br />Charter and shall hold office for a term of four (4) years, or until their successors are elected and <br />certified. No member of the City Commission shall serve more than three (3) consecutive terms. <br /> <br />The regular election of Commissioners aHa tRe Mayer/CemmissieHer shall be held in <br />even numbered years to coincide with the Florida gubernatorial and United States presidential <br />elections. The City Commission shall have staggered terms. The selection of members of the City <br />Commission shall be by seats known as Seats 1, 2, 3, tIfld 4. and 5. for tile COHllRissiElHefs aHa <br />Seat 5 and OHe (1) CemmissieH8f for Seat 4 shall be elected at the regular City election for four <br />(4) year terms beginning November 7, 2000, and every general election four (4) years thereafter. <br />Effective November 7,2000, the three (3) Commissioners for Seats 1,2 and 3 shall have their <br />three (3) year terms extended by one (1) year. The Commissioners for Seats 1, 2 and 3 shall be <br />elected for four (4) year terms beginning November 5, 2002, and every general election four (4) <br />years thereafter. There shall be no regular City election for Seats 1,2 and 3 in 2001, nor for seats <br />1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 in odd-numbered years thereafter. <br /> <br />2 <br />
