<br />Prepared by: <br />Gerald Paradise, Community Development Director <br />Community Development Department <br />95 Triplet Lake Drive <br />Casselberry, FL 32707-3399 <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO. 06-1194 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, AMENDING <br />PART III, ARTICLE X, SECTION 3-10.9(A)(1) OF THE CASSELBERRY CODE <br />OF ORDINANCES ENTITLED "PARKING OF VEHICLES IN RESIDENTIAL <br />DISTRICTS;" ESTABLISHING THE CRITERIA DESIGNATING A LARGE <br />VEHICLE; PROVIDING APPROPRIATE PARKING LOCATIONS AND <br />SCREENING OPTIONS FOR LARGE VEHICLES IN SINGLE FAMILY AND <br />MULTI-FAMILY RESIDENTIAL DISTRICTS; ALLOWING PARKING OF <br />LARGE VEHICLES IN RESIDENTIAL AREAS WHILE ACTIVELY ENGAGED <br />IN SERVICE WORK OR MAKING DELIVERIES; AMENDING CASSELBERRY <br />CODE OF ORDINANCES, PART II, CHAPTER 82, SECTION 82-127 <br />ENTITLED "TRUCK PARKING IN RESIDENTIAL AREAS" AND SECTION 82- <br />134 ENTITLED "PARKING OF LARGE VEHICLES" TO PROVIDE <br />CONSISTENCY WITH PART III, ARTICLE X, SECTION 3-10.9; PROVIDING <br />FOR CODIFICATION, CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY AND AN EFFECTIVE <br />DATE. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Casselberry has a specific important governmental interest in the regulation of large <br /> <br />vehicles, vehicles with commercial advertising, and commercial and industrial vehicles and equipment in residential <br /> <br />neighborhoods; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Casselberry desires to enhance the economic value of the community and protect <br /> <br />its citizens from the noise, visual blight and traffic hazards posed by large advertised vehicles and by commercial and <br /> <br />industrial vehicles and equipment; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Casselberry wants to restrict the parking of certain vehicles that exceed an <br /> <br />established threshold in residential districts; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Casselberry held a duly noticed public hearing on the <br /> <br />proposed changes set forth herein and considered advice of staff, citizens, and all interested parties submitting <br /> <br />written and oral comments and supporting data and analysis, and after complete deliberation, hereby finds the <br /> <br />requested changes consistent with the City of Casselberry's Comprehensive Plan; and <br />
