<br />RESOLUTION NO. 06-1653 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF CASSELBERRY OF THE <br />CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, RELATING TO ECONOMIC <br />DEVELOPMENT, APPROVING ANINTERLOCAL AGREEMENT BETWEEN <br />SEMINOLE COUNTY, FLORIDA AND THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, <br />PROVIDING FOR SEMINOLE COUNTY TO ADMINISTER AN AGREEMENT <br />TO PROVIDE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT INCENTIVES TO DYNAFIRE, <br />INC. PURSUANT TO THE COUNTY'S "JOBS GROWTH INCENTIVE <br />PROGRAM;" AGREEING TO PAY $30,000 TO THE COUNTY AS THE CITY'S <br />PORTION OF THE INCENTIVE PACKAGE; AGREEING TO OTHER <br />STANDARD PROVISIONS OF A CITY-COUNTY ECONOMIC INCENTIVE <br />AGREEMENT; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Seminole County received an application in December, 2005 from DynaFire, <br />Inc. for assistance to expand their business pursuant Seminole County's "Jobs Growth Incentive <br />Program;" and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, DynaFire, Inc., intends to invest approximately $1,250,000 in their business <br />expansion plan and to create 30 new jobs in the next two years and 50 new jobs in the next five years, <br />with an average base salary of $34,000, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the DynaFire proposal has been analyzed by the Seminole County Economic <br />Development Department and has been found to meet the criteria for an incentive award of $60,000 <br />pursuant to the County's criteria, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Seminole County has requested that Casselberry participate in the Jobs Growth <br />Incentive Program award for DynaFire by contributing half of the total amount to be awarded to <br />DynaFire; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, The City of Casselberry has represented, via the Metro Orlando Economic <br />Development Commission's publication, "City Data," that it would work within the parameters of <br />Seminole County's Job Growth Incentive Fund and will match the County's award for qualified projects; <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Casselberry Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) reviewed the <br />DynaFire incentive request and approved a portion of the requested award, namely $5,000, toward the <br />total requested sum of $30,000, with a provision that the CRA will contribute the remaining $25,000 <br />on a loan basis should the City wish to delay funding at this time; <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF <br />CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA: <br /> <br />Section 1.
