CITY OF CASSELBERRY <br />CITY COMMISSION <br />The City Commission of the City of Casselberry held a workshop on Monday, May 13, 2013 at 5:30 p.m., <br />Casselberry City Commission Chambers, 95 Triplet Lake Drive, Casselberry, Florida. <br />ELECTED OFFICIALS PRESENT: <br />Charlene Glancy, Mayor/Commissioner - Seat No. 5 <br />Sandra Solomon, Vice Mayor/Commissioner - Seat No <br />Colleen Hufford, Commissioner - Seat No. 4 <br />Gene Fry, Commissioner — Seat No. 2 <br />Anthony Aramendia, Commissioner — Seat No. 1 <br />STAFF MEMBERS PRESENT: <br />Randy Newlon, City Manager <br />Donna G. Gardner, City Clerk <br />Kelly Brock, Assistant Public Works Director/City Engineer <br />Mark Gisclar, Public Works Director <br />Sandra Smith, Interim Community Development Director <br />1. CALL TO ORDER <br />Mayor Glancy called the workshop of the Casselberry City Commission to order at 5:34 p.m. <br />2. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE <br />The Pledge of Allegiance was deferred to the regular Commission meeting scheduled for 7:00 p.m. <br />3. ROLL CALL <br />The City Cleric called the roll of Elected Officials. All were present. <br />4. UPDATE ON TRANSIT STRATEGIES AND DIRECTION <br />City Manager Randy Newlon reminded the Commission that the City had entered into a Memorandum of <br />Understanding with three other cities to develop a F1exBus transportation program in cooperation with Lynx. <br />He stated that the cities had gone through Lynx for the purposes of grant requests and with the intent of <br />utilizing Lynx's expertise in running a mass transit system. He added that the grant was available to develop <br />technology to efficiently dispatch buses from certain fixed spots within a wide region, and then would be used <br />to develop and purchase hardware to run the system.
