RESOLUTION 20-3166 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF <br />CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, REPEALING RESOLUTION 15-2807, <br />PURCHASING POLICY, AND RESOLUTION 08-1938, SALE OF <br />SURPLUS REAL PROPERTY POLICY AND PROCEDURES; AND <br />CREATING AND IMPLEMENTING A NEW PROCUREMENT <br />POLICY; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY AND <br />EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />WHEREAS, the City finds it necessary from time to time to restructure and/or make <br />revisions to policies governing purchasing by the City; and <br />WHEREAS, it has been determined that it is in the best interest of the City to create a <br />new "Procurement Policy" to simplify, clarify, standardize, and modernize the policies <br />governing said purchasing by the City; and <br />WHEREAS, the Procurement Policy shall be created and implemented through the <br />repeal of Resolution 15-2807 (Purchasing Policy) and Resolution 08-1938 (Sale of Surplus Real <br />Property Policy and Procedures), thereby replacing the former Purchasing Policy and Sale of <br />Surplus Real Property Policy and Procedures. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF <br />THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: <br />SECTION I. The City Commission of the City of Casselberry hereby approves the <br />Procurement Policy, attached hereto, as the official document that governs purchasing by the <br />City of Casselberry. <br />SECTION II. Conflicts. All Resolutions or parts of Resolution in conflict with any of <br />the provisions of this Resolution are hereby repealed. <br />SECTION III. Severability. If any Section or portion of a Section of this Resolution <br />proves to be invalid, unlawful, or unconstitutional, it shall not be held to invalidate or impair the <br />validity, force, or effect of any other Section or pant of this Resolution. <br />SECTION IV. Effective Date. This Resolution shall become effective immediately <br />upon its adoption. <br />
