RESOLUTION 20-3148 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF <br />CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, RECOGNIZING AND CONFIRMING <br />LEGISLATION IN PROGRESS REGARDING AMENDMENTS TO <br />ARTICLE XX, PLANNED UNIT DEVELOPMENT TO AMEND REVIEW <br />CRITERIA AND PROCESSES RELATED TO PLANNED UNIT <br />DEVELOPMENTS AND HOW THEY ARE PROCESSED IN THE CITY; <br />AMENDMENTS TO SECTION 2-5.4, TABLE 2-5.4 TO AMEND SIZE AND <br />DIMENSION CRITERIA RELATED TO THE PRD ZONING DISTRICT; <br />AMENDING SECTION 2-7.21, TOWNHOUSES, TO REMOVE <br />INCONSISTENT LANGUAGE; PROVIDING FOR LEGISLATIVE <br />FINDINGS; RECOGNIZING LEGISLATION IN PROGRESS; <br />PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY, AND AN EFFECTIVE <br />DATE. <br />WHEREAS, the City of Casselberry continuously monitors and reviews the Code of <br />Ordinances and the Unified Land Development Regulations to ensure appropriate regulations for <br />development and zoning within the City, and from time to time recognizes the need to study and <br />amend aspects of same; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Casselberry has found that the procedures and requirements <br />listed within Article XX — Planned Unit Development is not in keeping with the City's goal of <br />providing a streamlined development process which is accompanied by exceptional customer <br />service; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Casselberry has identified many discrepancies within Article XX <br />and, therefore, must correct these issues; and <br />WHEREAS, the City desires to provide clear and concise direction to developers wishing <br />to go through the Planned Unit Development process; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Casselberry adopted amendments to the Unified Land <br />Development Regulations in 2019 (Ordinance 19-1505) to amend the size and dimension criteria <br />for multifamily to align with current market trends; and <br />WHEREAS, the City adopted these amendments to RMF -13 zoning district but did not <br />amend the PRD zoning district which has similar criteria; and <br />WHEREAS, the City desires to update the size and dimension criteria to be consistent <br />with all Medium Density Residential zoning districts; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Casselberry has reviewed various sections of the Unified Land <br />Development Regulations which have redundancies; and <br />
