ORDINANCE 17-1455 <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, <br />RELATING TO SIGNS; AMENDING PORTIONS OF PART III UNIFIED <br />LAND DEVELOPMENT REGULATIONS, AMENDING ARTICLE V, <br />SEC. 2-5.3(B) TO PROHIBIT OUTDOOR ADVERTISING; AMENDING <br />ARTICLE XVI, SIGNS, OF CHAPTER III, PERFORMANCE CRITERIA, <br />OF THE CASSELBERRY UNIFIED LAND DEVELOPMENT <br />REGULATIONS TO ENSURE COMPLIANCE WITH <br />CONSTITUTIONAL AND OTHER LEGAL REQUIREMENTS AND TO <br />PROVIDE A PURPOSE, INTENT AND SCOPE; DELETING AND <br />RESTATING VARIOUS DEFINITIONS; AMENDING CRITERIA <br />RELATED TO THE AMENDED DEFINITIONS; AMENDING CHAPTER <br />14, AMUSEMENTS, SEC. 14-42, PERFORMANCE CRITERIA, OF <br />DIVISION 2, SPECIAL EVENTS, ARTICLE H OF THE CODE OF <br />ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, TO UPDATE IN <br />ACCORDANCE WITH RECENT DECISIONS; PROVIDING FOR <br />CODIFICATION, CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY AND AN EFFECTIVE <br />DATE. <br />WHEREAS, the City of Casselberry fords and determines that it is appropriate to update <br />and revise its Unified Land Development Regulations relative to signs; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Casselberry finds and determines that it is appropriate to delete <br />sections, subsections, paragraphs, subparagraphs, divisions, subdivisions, clauses, sentences, <br />phrases, words, and provisions of the existing ordinance which are obsolete or superfluous, <br />and/or which have not been enforced, and/or which are not enforceable, and/or which would be <br />severable by a court of competent jurisdiction; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Casselberry has determined the need to update and revise the <br />definitions as they relate to signs in its Unified Land Development Regulations, and to update <br />and revise other definitions in its Unified Land Development Regulations; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Casselberry wishes to ensure that the definitions in the City's <br />Unified Land Development Regulations as they relate to signs are in compliance with all <br />constitutional and other legal requirements; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Casselberry finds and determines that the updated and revised <br />definitions herein are consistent with all applicable policies of the City's adopted <br />Comprehensive Plan; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Casselbeiry finds and determines that the updated and revised <br />definitions herein are not in conflict with the public interest; and <br />
