The proposed ordinance goes to a second reading on Monday, March 24 and would <br />become official 10 days after passage. The new rules make provisions for existing electronic signs to <br />stay until the year 2020; however, if the signs wear out, or are significantly damaged, through an <br />accident or storm, they would have to come down immediately. The City is currently under a <br />temporary moratorium prohibiting the installation of any new electronic signs. <br /> <br />In another matter, Commissioners took up the issue of recreational vehicle parking in residential <br />neighborhoods. The proposed ordinance defines how recreational equipment shall be parked, such as <br />in a side yard, or rear yard, and behind the front facade of the principal structure. The matter comes <br />th <br />before the Commission again on March 24 for a second reading and would take effect 10 days after <br />passage. <br /> <br />Also, the Commission approved a site plan extension for the Wal-Mart company.
