CASSELBERRY CITY COMMISSION <br />Minutes of February 9, 2004 - Regular Meeting <br />Page 2 of iS <br /> <br />SPECIAL PRESENTATION <br /> <br />Mayor Pronovost presented Chief Pavlis and Chief Floyd with an award from the Florida Department of <br />Transportation and the Florida Highway Patrol commending the City of Casselbcrry for participation in the <br />Tri-County Area Open Roads Policy. The Tri-County Area Open Roads Policy is a commitment to the rapid <br />clearance of Orange, Osceola and Seminole County highways restricted by motor vehicle crash or incidents <br />that impact the safe and orderly flow of traffic. <br /> <br />PUBLIC HEARINGS <br /> <br />SECOND READING OF ORDINANCE 04-1112 - SMALL SCALE FUTURE <br />LAND USE MAP AMENDMENT - LEONARD CASSELBERRY PROPERTY ON <br /> <br />BELLE AVENUE - LPA 03-09 <br /> <br />MOTION: <br /> <br />Vice Mayor Clark moved to read Ordinance 04-1112 <br />by title only. Motion was seconded by Commissioner <br />Doerner. Motion carried unanimously by voice vote. <br /> <br />The City Clerk read Ordinance 04-1112 by title as follows: <br /> <br />"AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, TO AMEND THE <br />CITY OF CASSELBERRY COMPREHENSIVE PLAN, BY AMENDING THE OFFICIAL <br />FUTURE LAND USE MAP ESTABLISHING THE FUTURE LAND USE DESIGNATION <br />OF INDUSTRIAL (I) FOR THOSE PARCELS DESCRIBED IN SECTION I OF THIS <br />ORDINANCE; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY, AND AN EFFECTIVE <br />DATE." <br /> <br />Legal Advertisement: The Notice of Public Hearing relative to Ordinance 04-1112 was published in the <br />Orlando Sentinel on January 29, 2004. <br /> <br />Staff Presentation: Mr. Wells stated Ordinance 04-1112 provides for amendment of the Future Lmad Use <br />Map for the subject property which was previously annexed into the City via Ordinance 03-1089 from <br />Seminole County Industrial to City of Casselberry Industrial. The property is less than 10 acres which allows <br />for the axnendment to be processed as a Small Scale Future Land Use Map Amendment, pursuant to <br />163.3187(1)(c), (2)(a), and (3), Florida Statutes. The Planning & Zoning Commission voted 6-0 to <br />recommend approval of the amendment at its December 10, 2003 meeting. The City Commission passed <br />Ordinance 04-1112 on first reading on January 12, 2004. Staffrecommanded approval of Ordinance 04-1112 <br />on second reading. <br /> <br />Public Hearing: Mayor Pronovost asked if there was anyone in the audience that wished to speak either <br />for or against Ordinance 04-1112. No one came for~vard. Mayor Pronovost closed the public hearing. <br /> <br /> <br />
