RESOLUTION 04-1476 <br /> <br />"A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, <br />ESTABLISHING A LEGISLATIVE PROGRAM FOR THE CITY OF <br />CASSELBERRY, PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY, AND <br />AN EFFECTIVE DATE." <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Casselberry is a member of the Florida League of Cities and <br />participates in its legislative initiatives; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Florida League of Cities has established, through its members and <br />committees, legislative objectives and programs and priorities for the upcoming year; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, City officials have, in the past, asked for a proper, broadly-based set of <br />guidelines and directions for their actions and comments and interactions with various <br />intergovernmental officials, specifically as they may be related to the upcoming legislative <br />session. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE <br />CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> SECTION ONE. The Mayor and members of the City Commission, and City Manager <br />and appropriate staff, as directed by the City Manager, are hereby authorized and encouraged to <br />pursue legislative objectives consistent with the legislative program established and approved by <br />the Florida League of Cities in its 2004 Legislative Policy Statement, included herein as <br />Attachment A. <br /> <br /> SECTION TWO. Conflicts. All Resolutions or parts of Resolutions in conflict with any <br />of the provisions of this Resolution are hereby repealed. <br /> <br /> SECTION THREE. Severability. If any Section or portion of a Section of this <br />Resolution proves to be invalid, unlawful, or unconstitutional, it shall not be held to invalidate or <br />impair the validity, force, or effect of any other Section or part of this Resolution. <br /> <br /> SECTION FOUR. Effective Date.
