RESOLUTION 07- 1768 "A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF A CONTRACTUAL AGREEMENT BETWEEN JONES MECHANICAL CORPORATION AND THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY FOR THE CONSTRUCTION AND INSTALLATION OF ALUMINUM TANK COVERS AND BIOLOGICAL WASTEWATER ODOR CONTROL SYSTEMS PROJECT; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY, AND EFFECTIVE DATE." WHEREAS, the City of Casselberry has identified the need to need to install tank covers and odor control at the Wastewater Reclamation Facility; and WHEREAS, the City of Casselberry advertised for bids, on February 4 & II, 2007, for the Construction & Installation of Alwninwn Tank Covers and Biological Wastewater Odor Control Systems Project 0704; and WHEREAS, on February 28,2007, the City received three (3) sealed bids; and WHEREAS, the City staff has reviewed the bid proposal from Jones Mechanical Corporation and found it to be responsive, responsible, and adequate to meet the project requirements of the City. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: SECTION I. The City Conunission of the City of Casselberry hereby approves the contract with Jones Mechanical Corporation, (attached as "Exhibit A"), and authorizes the Mayor to execute said docwnent on behalf of the City. SECTION II. Conflicts. All Resolutions or parts of Resolutions in conflict with any of the provisions of this Resolution are hereby repealed. SECTION III. Severability. If any Section or portion of a Section of this Resolution proves to be invalid, unlawful, or unconstitutional, it shall not be held to invalidate or impair the validity, force, or effect of any other Section or part of this Resolution. SECTION IV. Effective Date. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and adoption. PASSED and ADOPTED this~ ~ay of "/17~ ,AD 2007.
