Mayor's Proclamation - Casselberry Firefighters' Appreciation Week, September 3-9, 2006 <br /> <br />Mayor Goff read a Proclamation in appreciation of Casselberry Firefighters and the efforts they put into the <br />2006 "Fill the Boot" campaign which is sponsored by the Muscular Dys trophy Association. The <br />Proclamation proclaimed the week of September 3 - 9, 2006 as "CASSELBERRY FIREFIGHTERS <br />APPRECIATION WEEK" in the City of Casselberry. <br /> <br />B. Hurricane Update <br /> <br />Deputy Fire Chief Dale Metz gave an update on Tropical Storm Ernesto and the preparation and procedures <br />that are in place for the City of Casselberry regarding Hurricane prepardness. <br /> <br />Mr. Miller said the City had an excellent public safety staff and they were well prepared in the event Ernesto <br />affects the City of Casselberry. <br /> <br />7. Citizens' Comments - The Mayor stated that persons who wish to make comment or make inquiry on <br />any matter not on the Agenda may do so at this time. Please raise your hand to be recognized, give your <br />name and address to speak on any matter. All comments are to be directed to the Mayor and City <br />Commission. If you wish to be heard during Public Hearings, you will be recognized at that time. <br /> <br />The following individuals came forward to address the Commission: <br /> <br />1) Peng En Chou, 229 Overbrook Drive, Casselberry, Florida, reiterated request he made at the <br />Commission Meeting of August 14,2006 regarding the purchase of wetland property owned by the <br />City. The City Manager will respond to Mr. Chou. <br /> <br />2) John Casselberry, 700 S. Lost Lake Lane, Casselberry, Florida, stated that line items on the Consent <br />Agenda with excessive amounts ($200,000 and $584,290) should be considered and voted upon <br />separately by the City Commission. <br /> <br />8. Consent Al!enda <br /> <br />A. Budget Transfer - from General Fund Balance Carryover to Parks and Recreation Budget for <br />Department Office Space Renovations and Relocation - $200,000.00 <br /> <br />B. Resolution 06-170 I - Utility Vacate and Abandon Petition for 252 Shady Hollow - a 14 foot wide <br />utility easement described as the South 7 feet of the North 14 feet of Lot 9, Block K, Carriage Hill <br />Unit 3, according to the plat as recorded in Plat Book 15, Pages 26 and 27, ofthe Public Records of <br />Seminole County. The pool and accessory structure constructed in the easement were permitted by <br />the City on September 23, 1980. <br />
