The Parks Impact Fee was established in 1998 and has not had any subsequent review. The
periodic review of impact fees is important to keep pace with the City's growth and Comprehensive Plan.
The revision increases the current park impact fee from $390 per residential unit to $850 per residential unit
and provides an inflation factor of 3% per year, beginning in January 2007. The ordinance has been
reviewed by the Planning and Zoning Commission, the Parks and Recreation Advisory Board and the City
Attorney.

Staff Recommendation: Approve Ordinance 06-1 173 on second and final public hearing.

Audience InDut: Mr. John Casselberry, 700 S. Lost Lake Lane, Casselberry, stated that the City should
compare the total cost of impact fees with Sem inole County and the cities in the County before adoption of
Ordinance 06- 1173.
