<br />RESOLUTION NO. 03-1427 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, <br />FLORIDA, RELATING TO OCCUPATIONAL LICENSING; ACCEPTING THE <br />INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT BETWEEN SEMINOLE COUNTY, FLORIDA AND THE CITY <br />OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA; PROVIDING FOR THE TRANSFER OF ADMINISTRATIVE <br />RESPONSmILITIES RELATIVE TO THE COLLECTION AND ENFORCEMENT OF <br />OCCUPATIONAL LICENSE TAXES; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY, AND <br />AN EFFECTIVE DATE <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Casselberry and Seminole County mutually desire to improve service to its citizens <br />and businesses by providing for the collection of taxes for businesses located within the City limits at one location; <br />namely, Casselberry City Hall; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Casselberry City Commission finds it to be in the best interest of the citizens and businesses <br />of Casselberry to provide a single location for its citizens to apply for and receive occupational licenses; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Seminole County, Florida, adopted the "Occupational <br />License Tax Ordinance of 2003", restructuring and simplifYing the Seminole County occupational licensing system, <br />thus facilitating the collection of Seminole County occupational licenses by thc City of Casselberry; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Seminole County has drafted an agreement to accomplish the above-stated objectives, attached <br />to this Resolution as Exhibit A; <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF <br />CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />SECTION I. The City Commission does hereby find that the interloca1 agreement entitled "Interlocal <br />Agreement Between the City of Casselberry and Seminole County Providing For Transfer of Administrative <br />Responsibilities Relative to Collection and Enforcement of Occupational License Taxes" is acceptable and <br />accomplishes the objective of improved service to the citizens and businesses of Casselberry by simplifYing the <br />collection of occupatiouallicense taxes and represents an improvement to the current system. <br /> <br />SECTION n. Thc City Commission does hereby authorize the Mayor to sign the Interloca1 Agreement <br />referenced in Section I of this agreement (attached as Exhibit A) on behalf of the City of Casselberry and does <br />hereby authorize the City Clerk to record this Agreement after it is duly executed by Seminole County. <br /> <br />SECTION m Conflicts. All Resolutions or parts of Resolutions in conIIict with any of the provisions of this <br />Resolution are hereby repealed. <br /> <br />SECTION IV. Severabilitv. If any Section or portion of a Section of this Resolution proves to be invalid, <br />uulawful, or unconstitutioual, it shall not be held to invalidate or impair the validity, force, or effect of any other Section <br />or part of this Resolution. <br /> <br />SECTION V.
