RESOLUTION 05·1550 "A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE APPROVAL OF THE WESTSIDE SMALL AREA STUDY (WSAS) AND ITS ASSOCIATED GOALS, OBJECTIVES AND POLICIES; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY, AND EFFECTIVE DATE." WHEREAS, the City of Casselberry conducted a special study resulting in a plan for the Westside area which includes development and redevelopment goals, objectives, and policies for the area, and identifies the administrative and financial means to achieve these goals, objectives, and policies; and WHEREAS, the City held two, advertised public workshops and numerous public focus group meetings with the intent to gather citizen input with regard to the future development and redevelopment of the area; and WHEREAS, an advertised Public workshop on the Westside Small Area Study (WSAS) has been duly held in the City of Casselberry, Florida by the Planning and Zoning Commission/Local Planning Agency and at such hearing, interested parties and citizens for and/or against the proposed establishment of the goals, objectives and policies for the Westside Small Area Study were heard; and WHEREAS, the Casselberry Planning and Zoning Commission/Local Planning Agency has recommended adoption of the Westside Small Area Study to the City Commission; and WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Casselberry, Florida, has held a public hearing to consider the Westside Small Area Study. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: SECTION I. The City Commission hereby accepts the findings and conclusions of the Westside Small Area Study, attached as "Exhibit A", and authorizes the Mayor to execute this document adopting the document on behalf of the City of Casselberry. SECTION II. Conflicts. All Resolutions or parts of Resolutions in conflict with any of the provisions of this Resolution are hereby repealed. SECTION III. Severabilitv. If any Section or portion of a Section of this Resolution proves to be invalid, unlawful, or unconstitutional, ~ shall not be held to invalidate or impair the validity, force, or effect of any other Section or part of this Resolution. SECTION IV. Effective Date. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and adoption.
