RESOLUTION 10-2131 "A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF AN AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY AND SEMINOLE COUNTY FOR THE RECEIPT OF COMMUNITY SERVICES BLOCK GRANT AMERICAN RECOVERY AND REINVESTMENT ACT GRANT FUNDING FOR DAY CAMP SCHOLARSHIPS; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY AND EFFECTIVE DATE." WHEREAS, Seminole County has received Community Services Block Grant funding from the State of Florida Department of Community Affairs for day camp scholarships for eligible individuals residing in Seminole County, Florida; and WHEREAS, the City of Casselberry's Day Camp program, offered annually for an 8 -week period for campers ages 6-12, is open to both residents of the City of Casselberry and residents of Seminole County; and WHEREAS, Seminole County has statutory authority to disburse the grant funding and has identified the City of Casselberry Day Camp Program as an approved Seminole County program; and WHEREAS, the purpose of the agreement between Seminole County and the City of Casselberry is to describe the processes and procedures that will be followed if an eligible individual receives scholarship funding from Seminole County for enrollment in the City of Casselberry's Day Camp program and to identify the operating procedures governing payment for the program. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: SECTION I. The City Commission hereby agrees to the terms and approves the Day Camp Provider Agreement between the City of Casselberry and Seminole County (Attachment A) for receipt of up to $23,560 in Community Services Block Grant funding as Day Camp Scholarships for the Casselberry Day Camp program. SECTION II. The City Commission hereby authorizes the Mayor and the City Clerk to execute said agreement on behalf of the City of Casselberry, Florida. SECTION III. Conflicts. All Resolutions or parts of Resolutions in conflict with any of the provisions of this Resolution are hereby repealed. SECTION IV. Severability. If any Section or portion of a Section of this Resolution proves to be invalid, unlawful, or unconstitutional, it shall not be held to invalidate or impair the validity, force, or effect of any other Section or part of this Resolution. SECTION V. Effective Date. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and adoption.
