RESOLUTION 13-2529 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISION OF THE CITY <br />OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, ADOPTING THE TENTATIVE <br />BUDGET FOR THE CITY OF CASSLEBERRY FOR THE <br />FISCAL YEAR COMMENCING ON OCTOBER 1, 2013 AND <br />ENDING ON SEPTEMBER 30, 2014; PROVIDING FOR <br />CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY AND AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Casselberry must provide public notice <br />of and hold a public hearing on the tentative Budget pursuant to Florida Truth in Millage <br />(TRIM) requirements set by Florida State Statute; and <br />WHEREAS, the public notice for the public hearing for the tentative Budget was <br />provided to all taxpayers of the City of Casselberry by the Seminole County Property Appraiser <br />in their TRIM notice which was mailed out in August 2013; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Casselberry desires to adopt the <br />tentative Budget of $49,002,485; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Casselberry deems that this Resolution <br />is in the best interest of the public health, safety, welfare and well-being of the citizens of <br />Casselberry. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION <br />OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: <br />SECTION I. Tentative Budget. The City Commission hereby adopts its tentative <br />Budget for the Fiscal Year commencing October 1, 2013 and ending September 30, 2014, as <br />presented at its regularly scheduled Public Hearing assembled on the date of this Resolution, <br />with all amendments, if any, adopted at that meeting. <br />SECTION II. Proposed Expenditures. The proposed expenditures in the tentative <br />Budget total $49,002,485. The expenditures are as follows: General Fund - $18,673,508, Other <br />Governmental Funds - $10,005,779, Enterprise Funds - $20,323,198. The budget is based upon <br />gross taxable value of real and personal property of $1,033,253,496. <br />SECTION III. Public Notice. Within fifteen (15) days of the date of this Resolution, <br />the City Clerk shall advertise in a newspaper of general circulation the City's intent to adopt the <br />final millage rate and Budget and shall hold a public hearing to adopt the final millage rate and <br />the final Budget and not less than two (2) days or more than five (5) days after the date the <br />advertisement is first published. <br />SECTION IV. Conflicts. All Resolutions or parts of Resolutions in conflict with any of <br />the provisions of this Resolution are hereby repealed. <br />
