CITY OF CASSELBERRY <br />CITY COMMISSION <br />The City Commission of the City of Casselberry held a workshop on Thursday, March 29, 2012 at 6:00 p.m., <br />Casselberry City Commission Chambers, 95 Triplet Lake Drive, Casselberry, Florida. <br />ELECTED OFFICIALS PRESENT: <br />Charlene Glancy, Mayor/Commissioner - Seat No. 5 <br />Colleen Hufford, Vice Mayor/Commissioner - Seat No. 4 <br />Sandra Solomon, Commissioner - Seat No. 3 <br />Jon Miller, Commissioner — Seat No. 2 <br />Anthony Aramendia, Commissioner — Seat No. I <br />STAFF MEMBERS PRESENT: <br />Randy Newlon, Interim City Manager <br />Donna G. CALL TO ORDER <br />Mayor Glancy called the workshop of the Casselberry City Commission to order at 6:21 p.m. <br />2. ROLL CALL <br />The City Clerk called the roll of Elected Officials. All were present. <br />3. ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT OF PUBLICLY HELD <br />PROPERTIES ON U.S. HWY. 17-92 <br />Interim City Manager Randy Newlon briefly reviewed previous discussions held by the Commission regarding <br />its vision for development of the 15 -acre site across the street from City Hall on 'Triplet Lake Drive and 17-92. <br />He reminded the Commissioners that they had been presented a vision for the site at the end of the last calendar <br />year which was a very ambitious, very attractive concept. He added that after a joint meeting with the CRA in <br />January, the consensus was to go forward with the concept presented; however, at the February 13`x' meeting <br />the Commission had tabled the item and referred it back to staff for further consideration. Mr. Newlon stated <br />that some of the concerns expressed at that time were that the concept, though beautiful, was heavy on place - <br />making and commitment of resources, particularly from the CRA, and a bit light on the economic development <br />
