RESOLUTION 12-2439 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, <br />RATIFYING AND AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF A <br />COLLECTIVE BARGAINING AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE <br />CITY OF CASSELBERRY AND THE CASSELBERRY <br />PROFESSIONAL FIREFIGHTERS; PROVIDING FOR <br />SEVERABILITY, CONFLICTS AND EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />WHEREAS, the City Commission and the Casselberry Professional Firefighters <br />have a collective bargaining agreement that expired on September 30, 2007; and <br />WHEREAS, the City and the Casselberry Professional Firefighters have a <br />Memorandum of Understanding that waives negotiations from October 1, 2007 through <br />September 30, 2010; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Commission and the Casselberry Professional Firefighters <br />have negotiated a proposed agreement modifying the previous agreement and extending <br />the agreement beginning October 1, 2010 through September 30, 2012; and <br />WHEREAS, Casselberry Professional Firefighters has endorsed and submitted the <br />agreement to the employees represented by the unit; and <br />WHEREAS, the employees represented by the Casselberry Professional <br />Firefighters completed a voting process and the majority of the collected votes were in <br />favor of the agreement; and <br />WHEREAS, the agreement contributes to the City's strategic goals. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF <br />THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA AS FOLLOWS: <br />SECTION 1. The City Commission hereby approves the Collective Bargaining <br />Agreement between the City of Casselberry and the Casselberry Professional Firefighters <br />for the term beginning October 1, 2010 and ending September 30, 2012 and authorizes the <br />Mayor to execute said document, attached as "Exhibit A", on behalf of the City. <br />SECTION 2. CONFLICTS. All Resolutions or parts of Resolutions in conflict <br />with any of the provisions of the Resolution are hereby repealed. <br />SECTION 3. SEVERABILITY. If any Section or portion of a Section of this <br />Resolution proves to be invalid, unlawful, or unconstitutional, it shall not be held to <br />invalidate or impair the validity, force, or effect of any other Section or part of this <br />Resolution. <br />
