Lost Lake Lane, Casselberry, Florida, stated that the Interim <br />Manager should be from Florida and a thorough background check should be completed <br />before the selection of the new City Manager. <br />7. New Business <br />A. Review of Potential Interim City Manager Candidates <br />The following applications for Interim City Manager were presented for Commission <br />consideration: <br />• W. D. Higginbotham, Jr., 3800 Hillcrest Drive, #222, Hollywood, FL 33021 <br />• V. Eugene Miller, 395 S. Atlantic Avenue, #608, Ormond Beach, FL 32176 <br />• Susan R. Boyer, 110 Palermo Place, Lady Lake, FL 32159 <br />• George N. Hunt, 1765 Winding Ridge Circle Southeast, Palm Bay, FL <br />• Patrick D. Miller, 1000 Huntington Court, Longwood, FL 32750 <br />• Charles Clark Saddler, III, 1810 Sir Henry's Trail, Lakeland, FL 32809-5033 <br />• Frank R. Spence,4530 Portofino Way, Apt. 203, West Palm Beach, FL 33409 <br />In a letter dated June 19, 2006, the City Attorney stated that Mr. V. Eugene Miller has indicated a <br />willingness to serve as Casselberry's Interim Manager. Mr. Miller was present for questions by <br />the Commission. <br />MOTION: Moved by Commissioner Colleen S. Hufford to appoint Mr. V. <br />Eugene Miller as Interim City Manager. Motion seconded <br />by Commissioner Susan Doerner. <br />Commissioner Cook stated she would be voting in opposition to the <br />motion. She indicated that the other applications should be given the <br />same consideration and have all applicants in attendance for <br />interviews in order to make an informed decision for the Interim <br />Manager. <br />Motion carried on a 4 - I vote. Commissioner Kathy L. Cook <br />dissenting. <br />Mr. Miller thanked the Commission for the opportunity to serve as the City as Interim Manager. <br />He indicated that one of the stipulations of his contract would need to be approval of a two-week <br />vacation in July that he had previously scheduled. He did not request health or pension benefits. <br />
