All were present. <br />5. MINUTES <br />A. Minutes of September 8, 2014 — Special Meeting <br />B. Minutes of August 11, 2014 — Regular Meeting <br />MOTION: Commissioner Aramendia moved to approve the minutes of the September 8, <br />2014 Special Meeting and the August 11, 2014 Regular Meeting, as presented. <br />Motion was seconded by Commissioner Solomon. Motion carried unanimously <br />by voice vote 5-0. <br />6. PRESENTATIONS/COMMENDATIONS <br />A. Presentation: U.S. Department of Defense Employer Support of the Guard and <br />Reserve Awards <br />On behalf of the U.S. Department of Defense, Florida Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve, Mr. James <br />Dicks, Chainnan, and Mr. Ed Apodaca, Vice Chairman, assisted by Committee Members Mr. Ian MacGeorge <br />and Mr. Michael Thomas, presented the Patriot Award to Battalion Chief Ben DeCuir and Lt. Matthew Hettler <br />of the Casselberry Fire Department, the Florida Committee Award for Outstanding Performance to Fire Chief <br />Donald Harkins, and the Seven Seals Award to the City of Casselberry for their outstanding support of the <br />Guard and Reservist employees. The nominator of the Patriot Awards was SSG (E6) Joshua A. Marzolf, who <br />is a City of Casselberry firefighter and a member of Florida National Guard HHB 3-116 FA, Plant City, <br />Florida. <br />B. Presentation: City of Casselberry 75`h AnniversarSpecial Events <br />Recreation Manager Linda Moore gave a PowerPoint presentation outlining the special events planned in 2015 <br />to celebrate the City's 75"' anniversary, which will highlight the City's history, and showcase many of the <br />different organizations that helped shape the City of Casselberry into becoming a great place to live, work and <br />raise a family. <br />Discussion: A brief discussion ensued regarding the various events planned for the year; the possibility of <br />including a menorah lighting and holiday traditions from other groups as part of the tree lighting ceremony; <br />and whether a special logo would be created for branding purposes during the 75`x' anniversary celebration year. <br />
