City of Casselberry I Procurement and Contract Management Division <br />95 Triplet Lake Drive, Casselberry, Florida 32707 <br />Phone: 407-262-7700, Ext. 1142 1 procurement(a-)casselberrv.org <br />RFP -2020-0636 COMMERCIAL SOLID WASTE SERVICES AGREEMENT FOR OPEN -TOP <br />ROLL -OFF CONTAINERS FOR NON-PUTRESCIBLE SOLID WASTE <br />4.00 Hours <br />(a) Collections shall be made between 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. Monday through <br />Saturday unless the City approves different times. <br />(b) Commercial collection services may occur on holidays, as agreed to by Franchisee <br />and commercial customer, providing Franchisee has arranged access for disposal <br />at the County Landfill. Commercial solid waste is not required to be collected by the <br />Franchisee on any holiday when the County Landfill is closed. <br />5.00 Litter <br />The Franchisee shall not litter premises, roads, streets, or rights-of-way in the process of <br />making collections and shall promptly clean up all papers, material, liquid, or debris that <br />may come out of the container during service. The Franchisee shall collect all material <br />that has been placed in the containers unless otherwise directed by the City. The <br />Franchisee will promptly notify the City if a customer routinely leaves material around the <br />container, rather than inside the container, for code enforcement action. <br />6.00 Approved Containers <br />Amounts and types of non-putrescible trash placed in containers for collection shall be <br />stored in pre -approved standard manufactured -type mechanically served containers only, <br />unless otherwise approved by the City and unless consistent with all other governmental <br />regulation, and whose volume is listed in cubic yards. Franchisee shall provide commercial <br />establishments adequate containers for the services rendered hereunder, if the <br />commercial establishment does not own a City -approved container. Containers must be <br />in good condition, cleaned, repaired, and painted as needed by the Franchisee. If <br />requested by the City, the Franchisee shall replace old or damaged containers with newer <br />ones. Such container shall be provided at Franchisee's cost and shall remain the property <br />of Franchisee, unless the customer owns the container. <br />7.00 Special Materials <br />(a) Hazardous materials. Franchisee may provide haul service for special and <br />hazardous materials not routinely generated by commercial establishments. Said <br />materials shall be stored and placed in a manner approved by the City and the <br />Franchisee. No hazardous wastes will be collected by the Franchisee unless <br />specifically required by the commercial establishment, approved by the City, and <br />agreed to by the Franchisee. There shall be an additional fee for special or <br />hazardous materials pick-ups. <br />(b) Large debris. The Franchisee may provide haul service for large debris, and volume <br />determination and rate will be negotiated between the Franchisee and the <br />commercial establishment. <br />(c) Self -haul or Contractor -for -hire waste. Contractors hired for construction, renovation <br />or demolition projects or property owners working on their property shall be allowed <br />to self -haul their own waste. <br />
