RESOLUTION 20-3177 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF <br />CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION <br />OF AN AGREEMENT WITH SARA BRADY PUBLIC RELATIONS, <br />INC. FOR PROFESSIONAL PUBLIC RELATIONS, CONSULTING <br />AND MARKETING SERVICES; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS, <br />SEVERABILITY AND EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />WHEREAS, Sara Brady Public Relations, Inc. has continually been providing public <br />relations, consulting and marketing services to the City since July 2012 through an award of bid <br />process; and <br />WHEREAS, said agreement was to expire on July 9, 2020 but a 60 -day extension was <br />granted and it is scheduled to expire September 9, 2020; and <br />WHEREAS, on June 22, 2020, the City Commission waived the bid process for public <br />relations, consulting and marketing services and authorized the City Manager to negotiate a new <br />agreement directly with Sara Brady for provision of said services to the City; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Manager has negotiated an Agreement with Ms. Brady at the rate of <br />$150/hour with an annual not -to -exceed amount of $50,000, which is acceptable and favorable to <br />meet the needs of the City; and <br />WHEREAS, the term of the Agreement is for three (3) years commencing September 10, <br />2020 and ending September 9, 2023, with the option of two (2) additional 12 -month periods up to <br />a cumulative total of five (5) years. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE <br />CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: <br />SECTION I. The City of Casselberry hereby approves the Agreement for Professional <br />Public Relations, Marketing and Consulting Services with Sara Brady Public Relations, Inc., <br />attached hereto, at the rate of $150/hr. with an annual not -to -exceed amount of $50,000 and <br />authorizes the Mayor to execute said document on behalf of the City. <br />SECTION II. Conflicts. All Resolutions or parts of Resolution in conflict with any of the <br />provisions of this Resolution are hereby repealed. <br />SECTION III. Severability. If any Section or portion of a Section of this Resolution <br />proves to be invalid, unlawful, or unconstitutional, it shall not be held to invalidate or impair the <br />validity, force, or effect of any other Section or part of this Resolution. <br />SECTION V. Effective Date. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon <br />its passage and adoption. <br />
