RESOLUTION 20-3175 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF <br />CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF <br />FEDERALLY -FUNDED SUBAWARD AND GRANT AGREEMENT <br />NUMBER Z1777 WITH THE FLORIDA DIVISION OF EMERGENCY <br />MANAGEMENT RELATED TO THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC (DR 4486); <br />PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY AND PROVIDING <br />FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />WHEREAS, on March 9, 2020, Governor Ron DeSantis issued Executive Order 20-52 <br />declaring a State of Emergency in the State of Florida in response to Coronavirus Disease 2019 <br />(COVID-19); and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Casselberry was, and continues to be, impacted by the COVID- <br />19 pandemic (DR 4486); and <br />WHEREAS, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Federal Emergency <br />Management Agency (FEMA) has awarded a grant to local governments through the State of <br />Florida Division of Emergency Management for emergency protective measures related to <br />COVID-19 (DR 4486); and <br />WHEREAS, Federally -Funded Subaward and Grant Agreement number Z1777 has been <br />provided to the City for the first obligation of federal funds for reimbursement of COVID-19 <br />(DR 4486) emergency protective measures and subsequent modifications will be required to this <br />agreement with FEMA obligation of each reimbursement request until all emergency protective <br />measures reimbursement requests have been obligated. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE <br />CITY OF CASSELBERRRY, FLORIDA AS FOLLOWS: <br />SECTION I. That the City Commission of the City of Casselberry hereby approves <br />Federally -Funded Subaward and Grant Agreement Number Z1777 between the City of <br />Casselberry and the State of Florida Division of Emergency Management for COVID-19 (DR <br />4486) emergency protective measures, attached herewith, and authorizes the City Manager or <br />Finance Director to execute said agreement and related documents for and on behalf of the City <br />of Casselberry. <br />SECTION II. Conflicts. All Resolutions or parts of Resolutions in conflict with any of <br />the provisions of this Resolution are hereby repealed. <br />SECTION III. Severability_ If any Section or portion of a Section of this Resolution <br />proves to be invalid, unlawful, or unconstitutional, it shall not be held to invalidate or impair the <br />validity, force, or effect of any other Section or part of this Resolution. <br />
