RESOLUTION 19-3104 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF <br />CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING <br />THE EXECUTION OF A FUNDING AGREEMENT WITH THE <br />ORLANDO URBAN AREA METROPOLITAN PLANNING <br />ORGANIZATION (METROPLAN ORLANDO) FOR FISCAL YEAR <br />2019-2020; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY, AND <br />EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />WHEREAS, the Orlando Urban Area Metropolitan Planning Organization (MetroPlan <br />Orlando) has the lead role in formulating regional transportation plans and programs and <br />coordinating transportation issues among local entities and the Florida Department of <br />Transportation; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Casselberry values and participates significantly in transportation <br />planning for the region; and <br />WHEREAS, in 2015 changes to the voting representation on the MetroPlan Orlando Board <br />were made which resulted in the City of Casselberry entering into an annual Funding Agreement <br />with MetroPlan Orlando to provide funding to support the functions necessary to achieve MetroPlan <br />Orlando's role in regional transportation planning and funding; and <br />WHEREAS, annual renewal of the Funding Agreement with Metroplan Orlando for Fiscal <br />Year 2019-2020 has been provided, which City staff has reviewed and finds it sufficient to meet <br />the needs of the City. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE <br />CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: <br />SECTION I. The City Commission of the City of Casselberry hereby approves the attached <br />Funding Agreement with MetroPlan Orlando for Fiscal Year 2019-2020 for the amount of $2,169 <br />to be contributed from the City of Casselberry and authorizes the Mayor to execute said document <br />on behalf of the City. <br />SECTION II. Conflicts. All Resolutions or parts of Resolutions in conflict with any of the <br />provisions of this Resolution are hereby repealed. <br />SECTION III. Severability. If any Section or portion of a Section of this Resolution proves <br />to be invalid, unlawful, or unconstitutional, it shall not be held to invalidate or impair the validity, <br />force, or effect of any other Section or part of this Resolution. <br />SECTION IV. Effective Date. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon <br />its passage and adoption. <br />
